THE ROOT CHAKRA is the basic instinct for
life. Root chakra energy comes up strongest at puberty
and menopause. At puberty the creative force is released
on the physical level and at menopause the same energy
is transformed and released on an emotional/spiritual
level. The animal spirit is the ant who is concerned with
matters of self-preservation.

THE NAVEL CHAKRA is where the sexual energy
lies. Fears and guilt about sex, or sexual imbalances
(too much or too little) can block this energy. When blockage
occurs it can be expressed negatively through anger or
violent behaviors. In the physical body it can surface
as prostate or female problems, sometimes as colitis.
Release is obtained through tears, by pouring energy into
any creative outlet including sex and with meditation.
The animal spirit is the crab whose nature is both sensitive
and defensive.

THE SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA is the seat of the
creative light body, the place of personal fame. The solar
plexus is where the greatest majority of people are blocked.
When we are very sensitive and vulnerable we tend to worry
and indulge in negativity "BUT WHAT IFs..." which block
the light of our creativity. Blockages are removed by
detaching from what other people will think of us and
our actions, laughing, physical activity, meditation and
transforming the worry into a creative format. The animal
spirit is the cobra with its power coiled inside itself.

WILL, ENERGY, METABOLISM, TECHNOLOGY, TRANSFORMATION,
MAGIC, HUMOR, FIRE
THE HEART CHAKRA is the seat of higher creativity,
the Christ spirit of unconditional love for others and
ourselves. This seat is either completely open or closed
down. Blockages can be released by realizing that there
are only two motivations for action: Fear or Love. Choosing
not to act unless it is from a loving vibration will unblock
the heart chakra. The animal spirit is the deer who is
gentle and peaceful.

BREATH, BALANCE, RELATIONSHIP, AFFINITY, UNION, HEALING,

THE THROAT CHAKRA is the seat of self-expression.
It can become blocked through neglecting to verbalize
our needs. These blockages present themselves in the physical
body as tension in the neck, headaches, rheumatoid arthritis
and throat problems. Release is obtained through communication
with the innerself and with others, singing and chanting,
journaling and ritual work. The animal spirit is the peacock
whose voice is loud and demanding.

THE THIRD EYE CHAKRA is the eye of truth
and represents self-realization that the god truth is
within each of us. The animal spirit is the swan, a symbol
of purity.

VISION, VISUALIZATION, IMAGINATION, CLAIRVOYANCE, LIGHT
THE CROWN CHAKRA is the seat of union with
the Divine. There is no animal spirit for the crown chakra,
only pure Light.
